To all the boys I've loved before is a teen romantic-comedy that is based on the popular same named YA novel by Jenny Han. The movie talks about a teenage Korean American girl LaraJean Covey (Lana Condor) who is a die hard fan of romance. She loves reading romantic novels and fantasizes about having a relationship.
Everytime she has a crush, she writes a letter to them but never mails it. Overtime she writes 5 letters to the 5 crushes she has had her whole life and she stores them in a box hidden in her closet. Her world crashes when her little sister Kitty (Anna Cathcart) secretly mails the letter in her bid to save her sisters boring life. To make things worse, one of the guys is Josh (Israel Broussard) her big sister's recently separated boyfriend and her last crush. Another of the guys Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) , her middle school crush suggests that they fake a relationship to help him get his girlfriend back and to help her get over Josh. The fake relationship grows into something serious the longer they stay together and LaraJean realizes that a real boyfriend is better than a fantasy one.
