Jumanji: The Next Level

Jumanji: The Next Level is a sequel to 2017's  Jumanji: Welcome  To The Jungle  and it is set a year after the first movie.  The group of friends have been separated , they are either in college or taking a gap year. During the christmas holiday when  they were all back in town, they decided to meet up for breakfast. Spencer (Alex Wolff) is now roommate with his grandfather Eddie (Danny Devito) who is staying with them because he is recovering from hip surgery. Surprisingly on the day the group decides to meet, Spencer was nowhere to be found and his friends were worried especially Martha (Morgan Turner) who was in a relationship with him. 

They go to his house to look for him but they find only Grandpa Eddie and his friend Milo (Danny Glover). They also found the broken jumanji video game and they realized that Spencer must have gone back into the game.  They go into the game to try to save him but Grandpa Eddie and Milo get sucked into the game too and the group ends up getting different characters than they did the last time. Grandpa Eddie becomes Dr Bravestone (Dwayne Johnson),Milo becomes Mouse Finbar (Kevin Hart), Fridge is Professor Oberon (Jack Black), Martha is still Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan) and Bethany is left out of the game. This new team must find spender and win the game in order to come out alive.

     If you loved Jumanji:Welcome To The Jungle you will love this one. The characters are entertaining and as funny as usual. There are various fight scenes but audience who have seen welcome to the Jungle know that the characters will  be safe. The lessons in this movie includes communication, courage, teamwork, and empathy. Overall, this movie is about people struggling to repair broken relationships. It also includes finding your true teammates/friends that you can count on during both the good and bad times. This movie and the one in 2017 are both big on friendship and the next level specifically talks about the kind of friends who are there for you no matter what because when bad time comes some people withdraw from the public and try to solve their poblems on their own . That is not supposed to be instead those are the times when  we need our true friends the most.   Remember  a problem shared is a problem half solved. 

To All The Boys: Ps I still Love you

Ps I still love you  is a sequel to the movie To All The Boys I've Ever Loved Before. Which are  both movie adaptations of novels of the same name by Jenny Han. This movie is set a year after the first movie and LaraJean (Lana  Condor) and Peter (Noah Centineo) are officially dating now. The relationship is going smooth and they are both happy but LaraJean felt insecure because she though peter still had feelings for his ex Jen (Emilija Baranac).

      Furthermore, LaraJean recieved a letter from the person with her last letter to the boys she loved in the previous year John Ambrose (Jordan Fisher). This made her freak out because so many things were going  through her mind. She told Peter about the letter and he was not thrilled about it but not so mad either but he was a little bit jealous. LaraJean ignored the letter but as fate would have it during the volunteer program in her school she ends up volunteering in the same place as John Ambrose and this further complicates her feelings towards Peter.

    Few days later LaraJean breaks up with Peter because a friend told her that Peter and Jen were together in an intimate position. Few days later, Jen  explains to LaraJean that she went to Peter because her parents were going through a divorce and Peter had gone through it before. Does LaraJean forgive Peter? or does she allow her insecurity rob her of something so special?
This movie proves the fact that to move forward in life one has to let go of the past because hanging on the past can pull you down. LaraJean had a beautiful relationship with peter but she was blinded by her insecurities. Also not everything is perfect. LaraJean expected her relationship with Peter to be perfect,  she basically wanted it to be like the love stories in fairytales. But that was  ot what she got. LaraJean learnt the hard way that we should be contented with what we have

Ana movie review

Ana is set in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria almost wiped out the entire  Island. The story is about Ana ( Dafne Keen)  an 11 years old girl struggling to survive  after her mother was arrested.  Her father is not in her life so she had no where to go and no one to take care of her. The only person she could turn to was Rafa (Andy Garcia) her neighbour a car salesman.
       In the short time that they were together Ana  noticed that Rafa too was alone like her. This is due to the fact th⁶at he doesn't speak to his two sons or their mother . Ana the  began to look after him and teach him how to hustle as they embark on a journey to locate shelter for Ana. The journey was not a smooth one as they encountered a lot of hiccups on their way due to Ana's stubbornness and the high rate of crime in Puerto Rico but at the end they made it back home safely and remained close.

       This movie portrays all aspects of life in Puerto Rico after the hurricane.  Citizens are shown struggling to make ends meet, some are shown living in plenty while others take to a life of crime. It also shows hiw diverse Puerto Ricans can be both in skin color and the language they speak. This movie is a realistic example of how life after Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico was.

Charlie's Angels

This movie is a take on the old series from the 1970s with the same name. This  version is action packed with a bit of comedy.  The movie is about a group of girls who are trained to work as spies for Townsend  Agency an organisation ran by charlie whom wasbheard but never shown. The girls use their charm and fighting skills to catch criminals. The girls are given handlers all knows as Bosley and they are  given various tasks to carry out all over the world.
  This story unfolds when Elena (Naomi Scott) exposed her employer who wanted to release a technological device that can be reprogrammed and turned it a weapon of mass murder.  Bosley assigned Sabina (Kirsten Stewat) and Jane (Ella Balinska) to help Elena retrieve the device . On their journey to save the world they face a lot of dangers and encounterd a life threatening twist. In the process,  they form a strong bond of friendship .

This movie focuses a lot on female empowerment unlike the old version. The main characters who are trained spies illustrates that women too can do well in the secret service field . The main characters show boldness and courage as they face villains head on without fear and defeat them. This brings me to teamwork.  Anyone that has seen this movie can testify that team work was portrayed a great deal in it because the Angels had to work together I  order to succeed in their various missions. Without teamwork, their efforts would have been in vain and they would have loosed their lives.

      Overall, this is a fantastic movie and I highly recommend it. Elizabeth Banks did a great job writing and directing this movie. Anya Movie Review

Anya is a science-fiction love story about a newly wed couple Libby (Ali Ahn) and Marco (Gil Perez-Abraham) who were dealing with infertility.  Libby had experienced 3 miscarriages during the period oftheir marriage and Marco believed that it was due to the curse his people were under.  Marco was from an  island called Narval and the people believe that if anyone leaves their community he or she wont be able to have children in life.

      Libby and Marco were ashamed to go to a doctor to talk about a "curse" so they turned to a scientist  Seymour (Motell Gyn Foster) who was Libby's friend for help. Seymour discovered a genetic disorder in Marco that might be the cause of this which affects other immigrants from Narval. Can Seymour help the community of Narval immigrants to bear children with foreigners?

The creators of this movie did a great job in the aspect of scientific accuracy in the movie. Real scientists can testify that the lab scenes in this movie were so realistic. Also this movie as a diverse cast that represents a lot of races. 

Although it is highly unlikely to come across a community where the citizens have a DNA that is different and incomparable with that of a nor.al human being. This movie shows the lack of representation in global genetics because there are lots of things we do not know about Gene's of some of earth's population.  I think it is safe to say that apart from difference in genes, there are also other things science can not provide answers for.

Overall,  this movie is about people fighting for love. They want to be able to love whoever they want to. The people of Narval were restricted in their choice of life partner but Libby and Marco were determined to break that restriction. 

Tyler Perry's A Fall From Grace Movie Review

This movie is about Grace Waters(Crystal Fox) a middle aged woman  with a kind heart. Grace was accused of killing her husband so She was assigned a public defendant Jasmine Bryant (Bresha Webb) who had  never tried a case before because her clients always settled for a plea deal. Jasmine was sent to bargain for a plea deal for Grace because Grace already confessed that she was guilty of the murder. Jasmine felt that Grace was innocent and different from her other clients so she decided to take the  case for trial in the court.

Jasmine investigates the case and convinces Grace to open up finally narrating the story of events leading up to the murder through flash backs. Through the story it was shown how Grace was mistreated by her husband until she snapped and this evokes sympathy from Jasmine making her more determined to win the case.

I don't want to spoil the movie if you have not watched it but Grace suffered because she was kind and her so called husband saw that as her weakness and took advantage of her. This shows that we need to be careful of the people we allow to become close to us. Grace was a victim because she was kind and timid which is sad because it happens in real life. No matter  what try to be strong around people because if you are weak and timid you will become vulnerable and prey to those with bad intentions.  Always remember that you can't trust  everyone so be alert at all times.  That is all for now guys. Turkey Drop movie review

Are you a risk taker? Or are you scared of taking risks? Life is full of dangers so taking risks is  a part of life. If you don't take risks you'll be stucked in a particular position all your life. Some people don't like when change occurs in any area of their life e.g they want to stay in the same neighbourhood or keep the same job e.t.c but change is the only constant thing in life. In this movie, Lucy (Olivia Holt) had been with her boyfriend Jordan (Tyler Perez) for 5 years and she knew that he was planning on breaking up with her when she came back home for thanksgiving holiday. Lucy has a whole life planned out so Jordan breaking up with her was not an option.

 Lucy saw them getting married and having kids together in her future so she did everything within her power to stop Jordan from  realing up with her. Lucy changed and did things she normally wouldn't do but because it would make Jordan happy she did them. But was it all worth it at the end?

If you are in a re6you font have to pretend to be someone else to please your partner.  He/she should love you just the way you are and if your partner wants you  to change  feel free to walk away. There is someone out there who will recognize your value and wouldn't want to change a thing.

Do not be scared of change like Lucy. Life is unpredictable and anything can happen at anytime. Do not be afraid to try new things, visit new places or meet new people. Also, Change can be healthy sometimes . It can also be a sign of growth and maturity .  If you feel something is not working out for you be free to try something new. In Lucy's case she was scared oh her boyfriend leaving her but little did she know that being with him was preventing her from being with the person that actually loves her. Change might not be easy everytime but trust me it  will be worth it at the end.

Just Mercy movie review

Can you imagine that you were wrongly accused of a crime and you went to jail because of it? I know, God forbid!! But that is the storyline of this movie. It is about a true life event that happened to Walter Mcmillian in the 1980s.
    Walter Mcmillian (Jamie Foxx) was wrongfully accused of murdering a white teenage girl in Alabama during the 1980s and he was sent to death row in jail. Many lawyers had tried to help him get a retrial because there was no solid evidence to prove that he was guilty of  the crime but all to no avail.

Then he met Bryan Stevenson (Michael B Jordan) a young graduate from Harvard university with the passion to save innocent prisoners from death row with the help of his organisation Equal Juatice Initiative.   Will Bryan be able to get Justice for Walter and take him home to his family? Or does Walter die because of a crime he did not commit?

This movie is heart touching and it arouses sympathy from the audience especially because it is based on a true life story.  8n the past, the justice system I  america was biased and crooked especially to African Americans.  Even till today innocent people still find themselves 8n hail all over the world. The story of Walter reminds me of Joseph in the Bible when he went to jail because of potiphar's wife. Joseph was in prison for so long but he did not lose hope or faith in God and God did not disappoint him. The God that brought Joseph out of the priaon in a big way is still alive today. Like Walter or Bryan you might not know who to trust. The only one that you can really trust is God. Men may fail you but God never fails if you trust in him. Trust God today and he will turn your sorrows to joy and your weeping to laughter in Jesus name. Amen.
